Recycled Non-Woven Carbon Fiber Reinforcements

Carbon fiber reinforcements in this category are manufactured from recycled or reprocessed carbon fiber converted into either nonwoven carbon fiber mat (similar to a chopped strand mat) or as loose chopped carbon fiber tow.

These forms of recycled, non-woven carbon fiber offer advantages in terms of cost and environmental impact but can also be used to produce products with an alternative aesthetic to the conventional woven carbon fiber appearance. The increasingly popular 'forged carbon' look is achieved by compression molding components using chopped carbon tow reinforcement.
