Our range of resin systems suitable for hand laminating. Resins in this category can be used with composite reinforcements such as glass, carbon, aramid fiber and others to create cured composite laminates.
Laminating resins are typically applied by brush or roller and used to wet-out the reinforcement in a process known and hand-layup, wet-lay or simply laminating. Optionally, the uncured laminate can be vacuum bagged during cure to improve consolidation.
General purpose (GP) polyester resin is the standard resin type used for most traditional 'fiberglassing' applications very often used in conjunction with chopped strand glass mat. Vinylester resin is similar to polyester with some performance advantages whilst epoxy resin is the high performance option, often used with woven glass or woven carbon fiber cloth.
