This product is classified under 'Dual Use' export controls. It can be shipped to the USA under an Open General Export Licence (OGEL) but due to the additional paperwork required we can only do this for orders of $250 and above.
Customers will be required to complete an End User Undertaking (EUU) form before the goods can be dispatched.
Prepreg materials are stored in our freezers at -20°C (-4°F) and are shipped from our warehouse still frozen. This prepreg has an 'out-life' of at least 30 days at room temperature and so typical delivery times will still leave plenty of 'out-life' remaining.
During summer months or periods of hot weather, it is recommended to order prepregs at the start of the week (Monday or Tuesday) to avoid adding extra shipping days over the weekend.
Unless you plan to use the product immediately, it should be placed into frozen storage as soon as possible on receipt.
Because of their perishable nature, we only ship prepregs internationally on priority (air) services. As a result of this, it may not always be possible to order prepregs at the same time as some large or bulky items. If this is the case, the shipping calculator will warn you and suggest that you remove large items or place separate orders.
Although orders to the USA are delivered 'duty paid', orders over $800 are still subject to a 'formal' customs entry procedure where US customs may contact you to confirm some details. We remind customers that customs clearance is your responsibility and that when ordering perishable 'prepregs' it is important to respond quickly to any such request in order to avoid delay and potential damage to the material. Easy Composites cannot be held responsible for damage caused to prepregs during transport as a result of customs delays. By placing an order for prepreg materials, you accept these conditions of sale.

Unidirectional reinforcement using our XPREG® XC130 resin system but 100% compatible with our XC110 system. This is an uncured prepreg material and requires an oven or autoclave to cure it.
This 150gsm (4.4oz/yd²) UD reinforcement is used to add maximum possible strength in a specific direction. It can be used on its own or combined with woven reinforcements.
This prepreg reinforcement is 300mm (12") wide and sold in a choice of prepacked roll lengths.

150gsm (4.4oz/yd²) unidirectional prepreg carbon fiber made using the XPREG® XC130 resin system. This 100% unidirectional reinforcement is entirely unsupported and so has no weft fibers to disrupt the the unidirectional fibers.
This UD prepreg can be used to add very specifically targeted (and oriented) strength to any composites component. Most typically, unidirectional reinforcement is used in conjunction with woven reinforcement to produce high performance components with strength exactly where it is needed.
This prepreg material can be used on its own or in conjunction with other XC130 prepregs (for autoclave or press curing). When cured in a press or autoclave this XC130 unidirectional prepreg can be used as any ply in the laminate, including the surface ply.
Use with XPREG® XC110 Out-of-Autoclave Prepreg
The XC130 resin system used in this prepreg is 100% compatible with the XPREG XC110 out-of-autoclave resin system and so this material can be used to add unidirectional reinforcement to laminates intended for out-of-autoclave cure.
When using XC130 prepregs (including this XC130 unidirectional carbon fiber prepreg) alongside XC110 prepregs for out-of-autoclave cure it is important to ensure that the first two plies down into the mold use the XC110 out-of-autoclave resin system. After the first two XC110 plies are down, XC130 prepregs (such as this unidirectional material) can be used without detriment to the surface finish.
How to Buy
This prepreg is supplied on a 300mm (12") wide roll/tape and available in pre-rolled lengths of 2lm, 5lm, 10lm and the full 100lm (2.2yd, 5.5yd, 11yd and 110yd) roll.
Please choose the roll-length you require from the drop-down menu at the top of the page.
The Sample Pack Contains two 400x300mm (15.7x11.8") pieces of prepreg.
For very large or ongoing requirements please contact our sales team.
