Low cost polypropylene 'sign board' suitable for making quick and easy barriers when mold making. This lightweight fluted board can be cut using a Stanley knife making it easy to follow the outer profile of a pattern, creating a temporary barrier which will form the outer flange or split-line of a mold.
Sold in packs of 4 sheets, in various dimensions.
If you believe you’re buying an equivalent product cheaper elsewhere, contact us to discuss your requirements.
White, fluted, 4mm (0.12") thick polypropylene signboard (sometimes known as Correx) is the perfect, inexpensive solution to making temporary flanges and barriers in composite mold making.
Although the signboard is made from polypropylene (which is naturally none-stick to many resins including) the board surface is etched during manufacture to allow printing inks to stick to it which also means that resins and gelcoats will stick to some degree so it is still important to apply couple of layers of release agent such as Easy-Lease or Number 8 Mold Release Wax to ensure an easy release off the board.
The board is very easy to cut using a Stanley type knife and, being lightweight, it is easy to temporarily bond into place (we recommend hot-melt glue).
How to Buy
Our Fluted Signboard is sold in packs of 4 sheets and is available in a choice of sizes, including thinner strips making it ideal as board for mold barriers. Choose the sheet size you require from the drop-down list.
Prices shown are for a pack of 4 sheets.
