High quality bristle rollers for composites laminating. These bristle rollers are built-to-last and are especially good at removing small trapped air-bubbles, ideal when hand-laminating cosmetic carbon fiber parts.
Available to buy online in 50mm (2") and 100mm (4") widths. Includes roller and frame/handle.
If you believe you’re buying an equivalent product cheaper elsewhere, contact us to discuss your requirements.
Bristle Rollers are the best consolidating roller for use with carbon fiber, and other woven reinforcements, they help significantly in eliminating small air bubbles and pin-holes, which very often cause a 'glitter' effect seen in composites when using a clear gel-coat or no gel-coat.
These rollers are 28mm (1.1") diameter. We have found these to work much better than the 22mm (0.8") at eliminating tiny air bubbles in a laminate.
Available in 3 widths, for most moldings up to 0.5sqm we recommend the use of the 50mm wide (2") roller as this has proven to give the best finish and is the least likely to snag on complicated shapes. For simpler/larger shapes the wider sizes may help to speed up the laminating process.
Typical Uses
For use with any resin system and reinforcement combination, using a wet lay-up lamination process.
Further Information
How to Use
After wetting out each layer of reinforcement with resin, use the roller with a medium pressure over the entire laminate, for the first layer in a cosmetic carbon fiber part we recommend that the entire area has had at least 5 strokes to eliminate the small entrapped air bubbles.
After use rinse the roller in an acetone bucket and leave it submersed until the next use, ensure that the acetone is thoroughly shaken out before each use. If cleaned properly a roller can last many months of daily use.
Bristle Roller Refills - rollers only without the handle are available separately.

The best solvent to use on the bristle rollers is acetone. After use, rinse the roller thoroughly to remove any traces of resin. Some users choose to store the roller submerged in acetone which can be done but either way the important thing is to ensure that any traces of resin are thoroughly removed - If cleaned properly a roller can last many months of daily use.
