These top-quality 10" composites shears are manufactured using our exclusive blade design for effective cutting of dry carbon fabric and other composite reinforcements without slipping or snagging delicate fabrics.
These larger 10" shears are faster for longer cuts and ideal for dry fabrics up to around 450gsm (13.3oz/yd).

The ultimate shears for carbon fiber and composites use
Developed specifically for Easy Composites to our specification, these Sheffield made Wilkinson shears are designed to offer the very best cutting and handling characteristics when working with advanced composite materials, making them ideal as carbon fiber shears.
Precision manufactured from high carbon tool steel and completely PTFE coated with Xylan™ technology these shears will remain sharp for much longer than a conventional shear, cut easier (even through heavy glass or pre-preg carbon) and provide a lifetime of service.
They feature a sharp nose to make it easy to get under fabrics for the first cut and precisely adjustable resistance making them a joy to use.
Exclusively, the serration is applied to the upper blade not the conventional lower blade making it much easier to cut carbon fiber and other valuable fabrics without the serration snagging the fibers as the scissors are slid along the fabric to make the next cut.

Due to the angle and serrations on the blades being designed specifically for composites use, you would tend to find that these composite shears will struggle to cut some thick and specialist upholstery fabrics
We would recommend selecting a dedicated upholstery/fabric shear for the most efficient cutting of those materials.
The main difference is that the angle of the blade on the shears has been optimised for the material you are cutting. Hence the Carbon shears will cut Carbon Fibre slightly better than the Kevlar shears and vice versa. Where you cut both carbon and Kevlar materials, select the shears to match the fabric type you most commonly use.
No, I'm afraid we don't have a left-handed version of this particular shear. However, our 10 Inch Kevlar Shears Left Handed will also cut carbon fibre perfectly well so would make a good alternative if you specifically need a left-handed shear.
